Description of Service

Barcode Scanner Online provides free online tools for:

  • Scanning barcodes using your device's camera or uploaded images
  • Generating barcodes in various formats (QR Code, EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 128, Data Matrix, PDF417, and others)
  • Exporting generated barcodes in SVG, PNG, and PDF formats
  • Educational content about barcodes and their applications

All barcode scanning and generation occurs locally in your web browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit the content of your scanned images or generated barcodes.

License to Use the Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, educational, and commercial purposes.

Generated Barcodes - Commercial Use

Barcodes generated using our Service may be used for commercial purposes, provided that:

  • You include attribution to "Generated with barcodescanner.online" when using barcodes commercially
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy and suitability of generated barcodes for your intended use
  • You comply with all applicable industry standards and regulations for barcode usage
  • You do not use the Service to generate barcodes for illegal purposes or to infringe on third-party rights

User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

While we strive to provide accurate barcode scanning and generation tools, WE MAKE NO GUARANTEES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR PURPOSE OF ANY SCANNED OR GENERATED BARCODES.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all scanned and generated barcodes
  • Barcodes must be tested with appropriate scanning equipment before commercial use
  • We are not responsible for any losses, damages, or consequences resulting from incorrect, unreadable, or improperly formatted barcodes
  • Different barcode scanners may read barcodes differently
  • Printing quality, material, and environmental factors can affect barcode readability
  • You should consult with barcode industry standards (GS1, ISO, etc.) for critical applications

We expressly disclaim all liability for:

  • Business losses due to incorrect barcodes

We do not accept user-submitted content. All barcode generation and scanning occurs locally in your browser, and we do not store your barcode data.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Loss of business opportunities
  • Loss of data
  • Cost of substitute services
  • Business interruption
  • Product recalls or regulatory issues

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed €50 (fifty euros).
